Raising a small number of litters each year, every puppy is part of our family, lovingly raised right in our living room, underfoot, handled from day one, and socialized with kids, cats, and dogs until the day they go home with their new family. This ensures well-rounded puppies with confident and outgoing temperaments that will thrive in their new family environment.
Located in scenic Lone Rock, Wisconsin, our home is designed with our dogs in mind. No outdoor kennels or kennel building — our Poms and Doxies live alongside us 24/7 and enjoy a large, secure backyard where the adult dogs can run, explore, play, and thrive.

Meet Jan
Jan Francois is the breeder behind Bear Valley Puppies. Her love for dogs began at a very young age through 4-H dog obedience and involvement in raising and showing quality dogs. Growing up, her mother successfully bred Bernese Mountain Dogs for over 30 years, giving Jan hands-on experience and a strong foundation in dog training and responsible breeding practices.
As a young exhibitor, Jan excelled in the show ring with the Berners and developed a deep appreciation for structure, temperament, and the special bond between dogs and their families. Today, that same passion carries into her breeding program with Pomeranian and Dachshund puppies.
Jan's puppies are raised right in the living room as part of the family, receiving early socialization, daily interaction, and love to help shape confident, affectionate temperaments. Jan focuses on health, structure, personality, and producing beautiful companions that transition seamlessly into their new homes.
What Sets Us Apart
Raised in Our Living Room and Ready for Yours!
Puppies from AKC registered parents are handled and socialized from birth. No outside kennels or kennel buildings.
Training. All of our puppies get a great start on potty training, are comfortable napping in a crate, and will have been on 5 or more car rides (so the puppies get used to motion and are less likely to get car sick).
Healthy Bloodlines. Our breeding dogs are carefully selected for health, structure, and temperament, with personality PLUS.
Puppy Care Package. Each puppy leaves with age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, food for several days, and a puppy care package that includes toys, a chewy, a small blanket that smells like momma or littermates, and 30 days of FREE Trupanion Pet Insurance.
Puppy Pickup or Flight Nanny. Most families pickup their puppy at our home in Wisconsin. Occasionally we can travel and meet people part way. For families further away, we can coordinate in-cabin flight nanny delivery (at the buyers expense).
Lifetime Support. We are here for you and your puppy! If you have questions, we'll do whatever we can to help. We are very good with dog training, as well as behavior modification. We are here for the lifetime of your puppy and we are just a phone call away.
